Sensory Garden update

27 April 2020

We would like to say a very special ‘Thank you’ to all the family and friends of  Mr Akabal Singh Jassi (Prem) who sadly passed away on Sunday 5th April 2020.
Your donations towards the sensory garden has been extraordinary and have made it possible to complete this very special project. We will be purchasing a bench and planting a tree in lasting memory of both Prem and Raj Rani. So thank you all for your wonderful generosity and kindness.
Update
The lawn has now been laid and we are hoping to begin the last phase of planting shrubs and flowers in the next couple of weeks.  The plants and herbs chosen will stimulate every sense, as well as a kitchen garden where we will grow our own fruit and vegetables.
Led by Paul Williams the entire Estates team have completed an extraordinary piece of work with several hand-built water features and fountains, gazebos, a BBQ and soft play areas.  None of this would have been possible without the many donations the Charity has received over the last 18 months. So, a huge “thank you” to all our benefactors.
Next Phase – Building the avery and choosing the birds.
We are hoping that when the Covid 19 lock down ends we can put a smile on everyone’s face by having a special party to mark the opening of the garden and toast everyone who made it happen. Cross fingers it will be in August / September this year!
